Bill Hildenbrand, a graduate of North Allegheny High School was a standout for the Penn State Behrend Lions soccer team.  Hildenbrand was a member of the 1971 Penn State Behrend Commonwealth Soccer Championship team that has been recognized as one of the best teams in college history, and has been inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2000.  In 1972, Hildenbrand posted his best season by contributing four goals and four assists to the Behrend Lions. He returned to Behrend to continue his career in 1981 and served as the team captain for longtime head coach Herb Lauffer.  Hildenbrand graduated from Penn State Behrend in 1982 and coached for North Allegheny High School for 20+ years.
