STARS UNITED SOCCER CLUB Stars United encourages players of all ages to inquire about opportunities on any one of its teams. For more information, contact Mark Perry, Director of Coaching & Player Development at tricountyindoor@aol.comStars United currently has players from Cranberry Twp., Seven Fields, Mars, Evans City, Harmony, Zelienople, Wexford, North Hills, Pine Richland, Freedom, Ambridge, Baden, Center, Aliquippa, Beaver, Beaver Falls, Imperial, Hopewell, Moon Twp., Fox Chapel, Shaler, Gibsonia, Hampton, Mercer, Grove City, South Heights and Peters Twp. Stars United has grown significantly on and off the field in just a four year period. We had 18 teams playing in the Spring of 2009. Academy U9 & U10 teams train twice per week and play friendly matches with other local clubs. The academy program also includes tournaments, winter training and indoor leagues. U11-U18 teams participate in either the PA West Classic League or Region I leagues. The club philosophy is about player and team development, providing an environment for dedicated players to play at the highest level offered in the area. All Stars United teams enter premier level tournaments in the region. And Stars United invests back to our players by providing them the best soccer fields in Pittsburgh, Dick's Sportsplex at Graham Park in Cranberry Township. Everyone involved with the Stars United is very excited about the future, and we look forward to the continued success, growth and development of our players, teams and club as a whole. Coach Perry is the Director of Soccer for the Center School District where he is in charge of the boys and girls programs. During his 22 years as a Boys Head Coach, his teams have made 21 WPIAL playoff appearances. His combination record of his teams while at Hampton High School (1987-1990), Fox Chapel High School (1991-2005) and Center High School (2006-present) is 373-86-20 which includes 16 Section Titles, 3 WPIAL Titles, 4 WPIAL Runner-up’s, and a PIAA Championship. Coach Perry is currently the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the Stars United Soccer Club. He is also the Head Coach of the 1994 PA WEST ODP Boys team and holds a USSF National “C” License. Coach Perry is the Manager of Tri-County Soccer & Sports Center in Freedom, Pa. Wednesday evenings: July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 August 5, 12 ACADEMY FORMAT: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM TECHNIQUE/TACTICAL TRAINING 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM SMALL-SIDED GAMES FACILITIES - Graham Park Fields Utilizing the first class natural grass fields of Graham Park. These brand new soccer fields are the talk of the soccer community.
Academy Staff: Graeme Eastgate - Stars United U15 Boys Coach, Former player at Seneca Valley High School and Robert Morris University Jason DeFranco - Stars United Coaching Staff, Former player at Shaler High School and Robert Morris University.Marco Patitucci - Stars United Coaching Staff, Former player at Fox Chapel High School and Robert Morris University. Bill Turner - Stars United Coaching Staff, Former player at North Allegheny High School and St. Francis (PA) University. *** ADDITIONAL STAFF WILL CONSIST OF HIGHLY QUALIFIED COACHES OF YOUTH, HIGH SCHOOL, AND COLLEGE TEAMS. TUITION: Tuition for the 10 WEEKS of academy is $100.00. The full academy fee of $100.00 must accompany the application. FAMILY DISCOUNT - A $10.00 DISCOUNT will be granted to the second child and any additional child from a family. |
